Andrea Solari (also Solario) (1460–1524) was an Italian Renaissance painter of the Milanese school. He was initially named ''Andre del Gobbo'', but more confusingly as ''Andrea del Bartolo'' a name shared with two other Italian painters, the 14th-century Siennese Andrea di Bartolo, and the 15th-century Florentine Andrea di Bartolo. His paintings can be seen in Venice, Milan, The Louvre and the Château de Gaillon (Normandy, France). One of his better-known paintings is the '' Madonna with the Green Cushion'' (c. 1507) in the Louvre. History Solario was born in Milan. He was one of the most important followers of Leonardo da Vinci, and brother of Cristoforo Solari, who gave him his first training whilst employed extensively on work at the Milan cathedral, and at the Certosa di Pavia. Augusto Jorge Mateo Solari (born 3 January 1992) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for Atlas FC as a right winger. Career Born in Rosario, Solari began his career at River Plate and was a member of the sides that won the 2013–14 Primera División, 2014 Copa Sudamericana and 2015 Copa Libertadores titles, among others. He scored his only goal for ''La Banda'' on 29 March 2015 in a 3–2 win at Gimnasia de La Plata. At the end of 2015, Solari was loaned for a year to Nelson Vivas' Estudiantes de La Plata. Giovanni Solari (–1482) was an Italian architect and engineer. He was born in Milan, the son of the architect Marco Solari, who was chief of the works of the Duomo of Milan. Giovanni Solari directed the construction of the Certosa di Pavia from 1428 to 1462 and that of the Duomo from 1452 to 1469. He was succeeded in Pavia by his son Guiniforte Solari. Guiniforte Solari
Guiniforte Solari (c. 1429 – c. 1481), also known as ''Boniforte'', was an Italian sculptor, architect and engineer. Born in Milan, he was the son of the architect Giovanni Solari, and brother of Francesco Solari. Guiniforte was chief engineer of the Duchy of Milan during his life. He is especially remembered for his disputes with Filarete, who had been called by Duke Francesco I Sforza to modernize the Lombard architecture according to the new Renaissance styles. However, Solari represented the local Gothic tradition. Buildings which he worked on include the Duomo, the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Ospedale Maggiore in Milan, and the Certosa of Pavia. Jorge Raúl Solari, (born 11 November 1941) is a former Argentine football player and manager. Playing career Solari, nicknamed ''"El Indio"'' ("The Indian"), played as a midfielder for several clubs in Argentina, he started his career with Newell's Old Boys in 1960. In 1962 he signed for Vélez Sársfield and in 1964 he joined River Plate. Solari represented Argentina in the 1966 FIFA World Cup. Laura Solari ( Camaur; 5 January 1913 – 13 September 1984) was an Italian film actress. Early and personal life Laura Camaur was born on 5 January 1913, in Trieste, then part of Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of sculptor and artist Antonio Camaur (1875-1919) and his wife, Maria Taucer. In addition to being prominent in Triestine art and intellectual circles, Antonio Camaur was a prominent Irredentist and advocated annexation of Trieste by Italy. In late 1915, Camaur went into exile because of his pro-Italian sympathies, and Laura lived in Northern Italy until her family's return to Trieste in 1919. María Luisa "Malucha" Solari Mongrio (24 December 1920 – 30 July 2005) was a Nicaraguan-Chilean ballerina and choreographer, winner of the National Prize for Performing and Audiovisual Arts. Biography Malucha Solari was born in the Nicaraguan city of Matagalpa, moving to Chile with her family in 1929. Although at first she took piano lessons at the , she eventually became interested in dance, studying under Andrée Hass.
