Punjabi (; ; , ), sometimes spelled Panjabi, is an Indo-Aryan language of the Punjab region of Pakistan and India. It has approximately 113 million native speakers. Sindhi ( ; , ) is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by about 30 million people in the Pakistani province of Sindh, where it has official status. It is also spoken by a further 1.7 million people in India, where it is a scheduled language, without any state-level official status. The main writing system is the Perso-Arabic script, which accounts for the majority of the Sindhi literature and is the only one currently used in Pakistan. Sindhis ( sd, سنڌي Perso-Arabic: सिन्धी Devanagari; ) are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group who speak the Sindhi language and are native to the province of Sindh in Pakistan. After the partition of British Indian empire in 1947, many Sindhi Hindus and Sindhi Sikhs migrated to the newly independent Dominion of India and other parts of the world. Abdul Karim Solangi
Abdul Karim Solangi (born 1943) is a Pakistani artist known for his work in kinetic sculpture in Pakistan. His sculptures, made from recycled fabric, wastepaper, and plaster, depict village life in Sindh. Career Solangi's interest in art began in his youth, influenced by his family's connection to Sindhi culture and heritage. In 1985, he created a kinetic sculpture depicting a blacksmith and an apprentice. While working in the Sindh education sector, Solangi travelled throughout the province, learning about the culture. This led him to produce artworks, some of which include representations of figures such as Sufi singer Allan Fakir, folk vocalist Jalal Chandio, and musician Misri Khan Jamali. As of 2021, Solangi worked out of his one-room City Museum in Lyari's Moosa Lane, which functioned as both his residence and workspace. Anwar Solangi
Anwar Solangi (1944–2008) was a Pakistani television and radio performer. He was born in Shahdadpur, in Sindh. Life Solangi became an anchorperson at the Hyderabad radio station during Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s government but was later removed from the post by the subsequent Ziaul Haq regime. With about 500 plays in both Urdu and Sindhi languages, to his credit, Solangi was twice awarded PTV Awards for best actor and best supporting actor. Solang Valley
Solang Valley derives its name from combination of words Solang (Nearby village) and Nallah (water stream). It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions.
