Jakabaring Sport Complex
Jakabaring Sport City ''(sic)'', also known as Jakabaring Sports Complex ( id, Kompleks Olahraga Jakabaring) is an integrated sports facility complex in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The complex is located 5 kilometers southeast of Palembang city center, across the Musi river by the Ampera Bridge in Jakabaring, Seberang Ulu I area. It was the main venue of the 2011 Southeast Asian Games, the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games, the 2014 ASEAN University Games, the 2017 Asian Triathlon Championship and the 2018 Asian Games. Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in Indonesia, is located within this complex. Facilities The sports complex was built to host 2004 Pekan Olahraga Nasional, an Indonesian national multi-sport event in which athletes from 34 Indonesian provinces participated. 2011 Southeast Asian Games
The 2011 Southeast Asian Games, ( id, Pesta Olahraga Asia Tenggara 2011) officially known as the 26th Southeast Asian Games, or the 26th SEA Games, and commonly known as Jakarta-Palembang 2011, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held from 11 to 22 November 2011 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia. It was Indonesia's fourth time to host the Southeast Asian Games, and its first since 1997. Previously, Indonesia also hosted in 1979 and 1987. The capital city of Jakarta hosted all three of the previous Games prior to this. Palembang became the third SEA Games non-capital host city, after Chiang Mai (1995) and Nakhon Ratchasima (2007), both in Thailand. Queeny Sabobo
Queeny T. Sabobo is a Filipina softball player (as short stop and outfielder). Born and raised in Negros Occidental, Sabodo was part of the Adamson University Falcons women's softball team who swept 5 championships and a 73-game winning run in the UAAP softball tournament. Sabodo was awarded Rookie of the Year on her first season, and became Season's and Finals MVP during her final year in the UAAP. She was also awarded the Most Home Runs, Most Runs Batted In, and Best Slugger awards in the same tournament. She was represented the country in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games where they won a gold medal in women's softball.
