Maria Sofia Charlotta Vikman (born 12 May 1983) is a Finnish politician and a member of the Finnish Parliament, representing the National Coalition Party. Vikman was born in Tampere, and was first elected to the parliament in 2011, gaining 8,279 votes in the elections. She was re-elected in 2015 with 9,473 votes. Vikman has also been a member of the City Council of Tampere City Council of Tampere (Finnish: ''Tampereen kaupunginvaltuusto'') is the highest decision-making organ of Tampere. The Parliament of Finland ( ; ) is the unicameral and supreme legislature of Finland, founded on 9 May 1906. In accordance with the Constitution of Finland, sovereignty belongs to the people, and that power is vested in the Parliament. City Council Of Tampere
City Council of Tampere (Finnish: ''Tampereen kaupunginvaltuusto'') is the highest decision-making organ of Tampere. It consists on 67 members who're elected every four years in the municipal election. The council meets at the Tampere City Central Office Building (sometimes called "The White House") in the city centre. The meetings take place almost always on Mondays. The meetings are sent on radio by Radio Moreeni. The National Coalition Party and the Swedish People's Party have been in a local alliance since the municipal election of 2008.
