2018 Amstel Gold Race (women's Race)
The fifth edition of the Amstel Gold Race for Women was a road cycling one-day race held on 15 April 2018 in the Netherlands. It was the seventh event of the 2018 UCI Women's World Tour. The race started in Maastricht and finished in Berg en Terblijt, containing 17 categorized climbs and covering a total distance of 116.9 km. Dutch rider Chantal Blaak, wearing the rainbow jersey, won the race in a three-up sprint with Lucinda Brand and Amanda Spratt. The third running of the women's event of the Three Days of Bruges–De Panne, also called Lotto Women Classic Bruges–De Panne, was held on 20 October 2020. The 16th running of the Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's cycling race in Belgium, was held on 7 April 2019. It was the sixth event of the 2019 UCI Women's World Tour. Anna van der Breggen was the defending champion. The race was won by Marta Bastianelli. Route The race started and finished in Oudenaarde, in the province of East Flanders. Compared to the 2017 and 2018 event, the route is extended four kilometers, totalling 157.4 km, making it the longest women's race in the history of the Tour of Flanders. It starts in the centre of Oudenaarde, before heading east towards Zottegem where two flat cobbled sectors are addressed, and returning to Oudenaarde, after which a larger loop towards Geraardsbergen begins, which features 10 hills in the Flemish Ardennes. La Flèche Wallonne Féminine is a professional women's bicycle road race held each year in Wallonia, Belgium, in April. It is part of the UCI Women's World Tour, cycling's season-long competition of top-tier races, in which it is the third-oldest single-day event after the Trofeo Alfredo Binda in Italy and the Emakumeen Euskal Bira in the Basque Country. The event is raced on the same day as La Flèche Wallonne for men. The race was inaugurated by Tour de France organizers ASO in 1998 and quickly became a road race classic.
