Soekarno M. Noer
Soekarno M. Noor (Perfected Spelling: Sukarno M. Noor; September 13, 1931 – July 26, 1986) was an Indonesian actor and film producer. He acted in 118 films and dramas. Biography His parents, M. Noer and Djanimah, came from Bonjol, West Sumatra. In 1953, he started his career in theater with the work ''Runtuhan''. He was chosen best actor at the Indonesian Film Festival for his roles ''Anakku Sajang'' (1960), ''Dibalik Tjahaja Gemerlapan'' (1967), and ''Kemelut Hidup'' (1979). In 1970, he founded PT Kartika Binaprama but produced only one title, ''Honey Money and Djakarta Fair''. In 1974, he was selected as chairman of the Association of Indonesian Film Artists (Parfi). He was married to Lily Istiarti Sukarno and they had six children. Three of the six children followed in his footsteps and became actors: Rano Karno, Suti Karno and Tino Karno. Batavia, Dutch East Indies
Batavia was the capital of the Dutch East Indies. The area corresponds to present-day Jakarta, Indonesia. Bonjol
Bonjol is name of a district (kecamatan) in the Pasaman Regency (kabupaten Pasaman), province West Sumatera, Indonesia. It is famous especially for its location as it lies just at the equator line. Rano Karno
Rano Karno (born 8 October 1960) is an Indonesian actor and politician. From his acting career he is known for starring in the 1979 film '' Gita Cinta dari SMA''. On 30 October 2011 he was elected Deputy Governor of Banten. He has served as acting Governor of Banten since 14 May 2014. Biography Karno was born on 8 October 1960 in Jakarta, the son of actor Soekarno M. Noer and Lily Istiarti Soekarno, and grew up in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. ''Si Doel Anak Sekolahan'' (literally translated as ''Doel the Schoolchild'') is an Indonesians, Indonesian television series produced, written and directed by Rano Karno who also stars as Doel/Kasdullah. This series has a storyline about the life of Doel and his family from Betawi people, Betawi, who still maintain traditional values even though they live in the midst of the current modernization of urban Jakarta. Besides Rano Karno, this series also stars Benyamin Sueb, Maudy Koesnaedi, Cornelia Agatha, Aminah Cendrakasih, Mandra, Suti Karno and Basuki (comedian), Basuki. ''Tjambuk Api'' (literally ''Whips of Fire'') is a 1958 Indonesian martial arts film directed by D. Djajakusuma and produced by Usmar Ismail. Starring Bambang Irawan, Aminah Cendrakasih, Soekarno M. Noer, and Rendra Karno, it tells of a young villager who must challenge a local criminal to be with his love. The film underwent several modifications over a period of more than a year before it could pass the censorship board, but now remains one of Djajakusuma's better known works. ''Lewat Tengah Malam'' (literally ''Past Midnight'') is a 1971 Indonesian film and the first feature-length production by director Sjumandjaja. Starring Rachmat Hidayat, Rima Melati, and Soekarno M.
