Sobreposta
Sobreposta is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Braga. The population in 2011 was 1,301, in an area of 5.98 km2. History Tradition hold that the name ''Sobreposta'' comes from the fact that in Monte da Pena, ten stones were superimposed. The oldest document mentioning Sobreposta dates to 1134, referred as Lageosa, which was the name of the autonomous parish. In the 18th century Lageosa was merged with Sobreposta. Braga ( , ; cel-x-proto, Bracara) is a city and a municipality, capital of the northwestern Portuguese district of Braga and of the historical and cultural Minho Province. Braga Municipality has a resident population of 193,333 inhabitants (in 2021), representing the seventh largest municipality in Portugal (by population). Its area is 183.40 km2. The Comunidade Intermunicipal do Cávado () is an administrative division in northern Portugal. It was created in 2008. It is also a NUTS3 subregion of the Norte Region. The seat of the intermunicipal community is Braga, Norte. Cávado comprises part of the former Braga District. The population in 2011 was 410,169, in an area of , which makes it one of the most densely populated subregions of Portugal.
