''So You Think You Can Dance'' is an American reality television program and dance competition airing on the Fox network. Season three premiered May 24, 2007. Cat Deeley returned for her second consecutive season as host. Nigel Lythgoe returned as a permanent judge, joined this season by choreographer Mary Murphy. The remaining third—and during Vegas Week, fourth—judging spot was filled by a guest judge (''see main article''). Auditions Open auditions were held in the following locations: Vegas week As in the previous season, those making the cut moved on to an intensive week of dance training in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cat Deeley
Catherine Elizabeth Deeley (born 23 October 1976) is an English television presenter and actress. From 1998 to 2002, she hosted the ITV children's show ''SMTV Live,'' for which she won a BAFTA Children's Award, and its spin-off chart show '' CD:UK'' from 1998 to 2005. In 2003, she hosted the talent competition show ''Fame Academy'' on BBC and became the presenter of the talent show ''Stars in Their Eyes,'' hosting until 2005''.'' Since 2006, Deeley has been the host of ''So You Think You Can Dance'' in the United States, for which she has been nominated five times for a Primetime Emmy. Orpheum Theatre (Los Angeles, California)
The Orpheum Theatre at 842 S. Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles opened on February 15, 1926, as the fourth and final Los Angeles venue for the Orpheum vaudeville circuit. After a $3 million renovation, started in 1989, it is the most restored of the historical movie palaces in the city. Three previous theatres also bore the name Orpheum before the one at 842 Broadway was the final one with that moniker. The Orpheum has a Beaux Arts facade designed by movie theater architect G. Dmitry Chaplin ( ''Dmitry Alexandrovich Chaplin'') is a Russian dancer, choreographer, and actor, best known for being a Top 10 finalist on the second season of the dance competition series ''So You Think You Can Dance''. While competing on the series, he became known for performing shirtless, with one solo routine having him rip off his shirt. The international ballroom version of samba is a lively, rhythmical dance with elements from Brazilian samba. Hip hop dance is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. It is influenced by a wide range of styles that were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. The Fox Theatre (often marketed as the Fabulous Fox), a former movie palace, is a performing arts venue located at 660 Peachtree Street NE in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, and is the centerpiece of the Fox Theatre Historic District.
