Snabba Cash
''Easy Money'' (Swedish title: ''Snabba cash'') is a 2006 novel by Jens Lapidus. The paperback was the fourth bestselling Swedish novel of 2007. The first book in the ''Stockholm Noir'' trilogy, it was adapted into a film in 2010 and a Netflix TV series in 2021. Plot summary JW is a young man originally from the countryside who now lives in Stockholm. JW feigns the appearance of a ''stekare'' (in Swedish parlance, a lifestyle based on flaunting one's apparent wealth; a jetsetter), actually leading a double life driving taxi illegally to finance his expensive life on Stureplan. Abdulkarim, who runs the taxi business, offers JW a job selling cocaine instead. JW accepts the offer and enters the criminal underground of Stockholm. Jorge Salinas Barrio is a Latino who has gone to prison after taking the blame for drug business in which the Yugoslav mafia was involved. Jens Lapidus
Jens Jacob Lapidus (; born 24 May 1974) is a Swedish criminal defense lawyer and author known for his books about the Stockholm underworld. Life and career Lapidus was born into a middle class family in the Stockholm suburb Gröndal, with a mother who was a social worker. His family is Jewish. As a young man he was active in the Stureplan party scene, which plays a role in his novels. He made his writing debut in August 2006 with '' Easy Money'', an account of the Stockholm underworld, and the first of the ''Stockholm Noir'' trilogy. Two years later the second installment ''Aldrig fucka upp'' was published by Wahlström & Widstrand. A graphic novel with illustrator Peter Bergting (The Portent) entitled ''Gängkrig 145'' was published in May 2009. While this project does take place in the same universe as the novels, it is not the third part of the ''Stockholm Noir'' trilogy but rather a side story. Stureplan
Stureplan is a public square in central Stockholm, between Norrmalm and Östermalm. The square connects the major streets Kungsgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan and Sturegatan. The buildings around the square house offices of banks and other financial institutions, as well as several corporate headquarters. Some of the country's most famous and expensive restaurants and bars are located in the area around Stureplan. Some examples are Sturehof, Spy Bar, Riche, Laroy, Hell's Kitchen, East and Sturecompagniet. Shops in the area include Versace, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and LV.
