Smart Club
Smart Club AS was a Norway, Norwegian retail chain with three outlets, offering the products from forty product categories. The stores had a membership programme, where customers paid Norwegian krone, NOK 100 to gain bonuses throughout the year. History The company was founded in 1995 by Atle Brynestad through his investment company CG Holding and had eight outlets at a time. In July 2008, the chain was bought by Coop NKL who converted three stores to their own hypermarket chain, Coop Obs!, two to Coop Mega and one to Coop Xtra. They let two outlets, all in the Greater Oslo Region, stay under the Smart Club name. One outlet is at Alnabru and the second is at Slependen. In 2010, a new Smart Club was opened in Råde. The store in Alnabru was later converted to a Coop Obs! Hypermarked and a Coop Obs! Bygg, splitting the old Smart Club into two separate stores. Coop Mega is a chain of supermarket stores throughout Norway managed by Coop Norge and owned by local cooperatives. The chain director is Stian Enbom Lysaker. The chain brand was established by the cooperative NKL in 1987 as a refurbishment of Domus. Råde
Råde is a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Karlshus. The parish of ''Raade'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The neighbouring municipalities are Rygge, Våler, Sarpsborg, and Fredrikstad. There are four major villages in the municipality: Karlshus, Saltnes, Missingmyr, and Slangsvold. Slependen
Slependen is a relatively large area in Bærum, Norway. On Slependen there is significant villa settlement, as well as considerable office and commercial activities. Building development Slependen posed originally as an area across large parts of Asker and Bærum. In 1927 the area was split due to the different priorities of the two municipalities in terms of financial support. The area that belonged to Bærum, where the two larger farms Gyssestad and Hilton held to, was given the name ''Øvre Slependen Vel'' (Upper Slependen Well area). Gyssestad farm was bought and taken over by the municipality of Bærum in 1950, but is today completely downsized. The original municipal boundary was a stream of Åsløkka in Hilton hill that ran out in Slependbukta. Alnabru
Alnabru is a neighbourhood of north-eastern Oslo. It lies in the middle of the southern part of the Grorud valley (Groruddalen). The name – which means "Alna bridge" – comes from that of the Alna River, from which are also derived the names of the old ''Alna Gård'' estate and the borough of Alna, in which Alnabru is located. The area is an industrial one, known for its rail freight terminal on the Hovedbane trunk line. Occupying the site of the former Alnabru railway station, this is Oslo's main terminal for the transport of produce. Greater Oslo Region ("Stor-Oslo-regionen" in Norwegian) is a statistical metropolitan region surrounding the Norwegian capital of Oslo. The region includes the city of Oslo (population: 658,390), the entire county of Akershus (population: 573,326) and several municipalities in the counties of Buskerud (150,709), Oppland (8,552), Vestfold (27,695) and Østfold (102,808). It is divided into five areas: the city of Oslo (590,041), the Inner Circle of Greater Oslo (309,717), the Outer Circle of Greater Oslo (313,258), Drammen Region (150,655) and Moss Region (54,920). Coop NKL
Coop Norge SA is a Norwegian cooperative. It is owned by 117 local cooperatives with approximately 2 million members. The company has its headquarters in Oslo. History The first cooperative store in Norway was opened in the 1850s and, on 27 June 1906, a group of 28 cooperatives formed the NKL (''Norges Kooperative Landsforening'', "Norwegian Cooperative Association") to act as a wholesaler for its members. The next year, it joined the International Co-operative Alliance.
