The Smart #5 (stylised as "smart #5") is a Battery electric vehicle, battery electric mid-size crossover SUV developed and produced by Smart Automobile, a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz Group and Geely Holding Group, Geely Holding. It will be the third vehicle produced by the joint venture. The model is based on the Sustainable Experience Architecture platform, Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) Skateboard (automotive platform), electric vehicle platform developed by Geely. In China, the model is marketed as the Smart Jingling #5 (). Overview The #5 was first previewed by the Smart Concept #5 concept car at Auto China in April 2024. Concept cars are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be produced.
