"Slow It Down" is a song by British boy band East 17, released in April 1993 by London Records as the fourth single from their debut album, ''Walthamstow'' (1993). It was written by band member Tony Mortimer, and was a number one hit in Israel, as well as peaking within the top 10 in Lithuania. In Ireland and the United Kingdom, the single was a top-20 hit. East 17
East 17 are an English pop boy band started by Tony Mortimer, Brian Harvey, John Hendy, and Terry Coldwell in 1991. As of 2020, the group consists of Coldwell, Robbie Craig, and Joe Livermore. East 17 have undergone multiple lineup changes, with Coldwell remaining the only constant member. P.M. Dawn was an American hip hop and R&B act that formed in 1988 by the brothers Attrell Cordes (known by his stage name Prince Be, sometimes credited as Prince Be the Nocturnal) and Jarrett Cordes (known as DJ Minutemix) in Jersey City, New Jersey. They earned significant crossover success in the early 1990s with music that merged hip hop, older soul, and more pop-oriented urban R&B.
