''Slow Boat Home'' (Chinese: 情越海岸線; literally "love exceeds the coastline") is a 2013 Hong Kong romantic comedy television drama produced by Leung Choi-yuen and TVB, starring Raymond Wong Ho-yin, Ruco Chan and Aimee Chan. The show was conceived in late 2011 by Leung, who aspired to write a youthful television drama for the aging TVB. ''Slow Boat Home'' was produced at 25 episodes, and the first episode premiered on TVB Jade on 13 May 2013. The drama was primarily filmed in Cheung Chau. Premise The serial delves into the lives and relationships of several high school classmates from Cheung Chau, a small island district in Hong Kong. Elliot Ngok
Yueh Hua (; 14 July 1942 – 20 October 2018) was a Shanghai-born Hong Kong actor, later based in Canada, with Shaw Brothers Studio and TVB. Yueh is one of the most versatile and prolific leading actors of Shaw Brothers. Yueh starred in five to ten films per year in his heyday, playing roles ranging from foolish drunks to scholarly warriors. Yueh died of cancer in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, aged 76. Biography Yueh was born as Leung Lok-wah in Shanghai, with Cantonese ancestry. Yueh emigrated to Hong Kong in 1962 after graduating from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Cheung Chau (lit. "Long Island") is an island southwest of Hong Kong Island. It is nicknamed the 'dumbbell island (啞鈴島)' due to its shape. It has been inhabited for longer than most other places in Hong Kong, and had a population of 22,740 . Administratively, it is part of the Islands District.
