Slovanka
Slovanka (german: Seibthübel) is a hill situated 820 m above sea level in the central Jizera Mountains in the area of Lučany nad Nisou, between Královka and Bramberk, in the Czech Republic. There is an observation tower in the settlement, which was built in 1887. It is primarily made from iron and is 14 metres high, with 56 steps to the top. It was rebuilt for 550.000 Kč and reopened on 5 July 2000. Lučany Nad Nisou
Lučany nad Nisou (german: Wiesenthal an der Neiße) is a town in Jablonec nad Nisou District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,000 inhabitants. Administrative parts Villages of Horní Maxov and Jindřichov are administrative parts of Lučany nad Nisou. Geography Lučany nad Nisou is located about northeast of Jablonec nad Nisou. It lies in the Jizera Mountains. The highest point is the mountain Slovanka at above sea level. History The first written mention of Lučany nad Nisou is from 1623. In 1892, the village was promoted to a market town and in 1913, it became a town. After the World War II, Lučany nad Nisou lost its town status, but it was returned to the municipality in 2006. Jizera Mountains
Jizera Mountains ( cz, Jizerské hory), or Izera Mountains ( pl, Góry Izerskie; german: Isergebirge), are part of the Western Sudetes on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. The range got its name from the Jizera River, which rises at the southern base of the Smrk massif. The beech forests within the Jizera Mountains were added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe, because of their outstanding preservation and testimony to the ecological history of Europe (and the beech family specifically) since the Last Glacial Period. Královka
Královka (''German: Königshöhe'') is a stone observation tower situated 859 metres above the sea level on Nekras Hill in the central Jizera Mountains in the area of Janov nad Nisou, less than a kilometre from Bedřichov. The total height of the tower is 23.5 metres and the viewing platform is at a height of 20.5 metres. 102 stairs lead the visitors to the top of the observation tower. History The original building was constructed in 1888 and was made of wood. This building was destroyed in 1906 and a new stone observation tower was built in 1907. In 1934 a chalet with a restaurant and possible accommodation was built next to the tower. This chalet replaced the wooden public house from 1890, which burnt down in 1933.
