Slađana Perunović-Pejović (born 26 March 1984) is a Montenegrin long-distance runner and holder of several Montenegrin records in athletics, Montenegrin records. She placed 77th out of 118 in the Athletics at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's marathon, 2012 Olympic marathon. She did not finish her Athletics at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's marathon, 2016 Olympic marathon. Running career The 2009 Summer Universiade was held in Belgrade and she competed in both the Athletics at the 2009 Summer Universiade – Women's 800 metres, women's 800 metres and the Athletics at the 2009 Summer Universiade – Women's 1500 metres, women's 1500 metres. At the 2011 Summer Universiade she placed 13th out of 22 runners in the Athletics at the 2011 Summer Universiade – Women's half marathon, women's half marathon with a time of 1:22:16. The 2009 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXV Summer Universiade, was celebrated in Belgrade, Serbia from July 1 to 12, 2009. The event has also been organised by a range of co-host cities mostly in Vojvodina (Serbian Autonomous Province), close to Belgrade. The women's marathon event at the 2016 Summer Olympics took place on 14 August on the Sambadrome. Summary At 9:30 in the morning, the race started with temperatures around . The pack stayed bunched, with Mare Dibaba, Visiline Jepkesho, Rose Chelimo, Volha Mazuronak and Tirfi Tsegaye each taking their turns in the spotlight. The racing got serious, the pack was down to seven at 30 kilometres with American Desiree Linden the closest pursuer but unable to get back with the group. Shalane Flanagan was consistently toward the back of the group, then she began to fall off.
