Slabystraße Station
Slabystraße is an interchange station on the Cologne Stadtbahn lines 13 and 18, located in the Cologne district of Nippes. The station lies within the western feeder to the Cologne Mülheim Bridge. The station was opened in 1974 and consists of four side platforms with four rail tracks. Cologne Stadtbahn
The Cologne Stadtbahn is a light rail system in the German city of Cologne, including several surrounding cities of the Cologne Bonn Region (Bergisch Gladbach, Bonn, Bornheim, Brühl, Frechen, Hürth, Leverkusen-Schlebusch, Wesseling). The term ''Stadtbahn'' denotes a system that encompasses elements of trams as well as an underground railway network (''U-Bahn'') and interurban rail, even including three lines that are licensed as heavy rail and used by freight trains as well as Stadtbahn vehicles. Two of these lines connect the Cologne Stadtbahn to the Bonn Stadtbahn. These lines (16 and 18) are jointly operated by both cities' transport authorities, resulting in both systems and the lines connecting them sometimes collectively referred to as ''Stadtbahn Rhein-Sieg''. Nippes (; ) is the fifth borough (') of Cologne, Germany. Nippes was incorporated into the city of Cologne in 1888 and the district was created in 1975. A large Ford Europe production plant is located in Niehl, the north-eastern part of the district. Nippes borders the Cologne boroughs of Chorweiler to the north, Mülheim to the east, Innenstadt to the south, and Ehrenfeld to the south-west.
