Sky Radio Group
Sky Radio Group is a chain of radio stations in Netherlands. The radio group is 90% held by Telegraaf Media Groep NV and 10% of Vereniging Veronica. In the Netherlands, the Sky Radio Group is next to the main station Sky Radio also owner of Radio Veronica, HitRadio and Classic FM and was also briefly seller of advertising time on Kink FM. The now defunct Kink FM was part of the Vereniging Veronica. From October 1 till December 27, 2006 the Sky Radio Group provided to the cable signal of the former Dutch pop station RTL FM, the last time under the name RTL FM, Sky Radio presents The Christmas Station. The cable network RTL FM BV was then taken over and BV was renamed Hitradio BV. In late 2006 TMF Radio started on this channel, until November 2008 a joint venture of Sky Radio with MTV Networks BV. Sky Radio is a Dutch commercial radio station playing non-stop Adult Contemporary pop music, owned by Talpa Holding. The target audience is men and women between 25 and 54 years of age. It is programmed according to the AC format (any popular song from the 1980s to today that is not rap/hip hop, hard rock, or dance). Radio Veronica was an offshore radio station that began broadcasting in 1960, and broadcast offshore for over fourteen years. It was set up by independent radio, TV and household electrical retailers in the Netherlands to stimulate the sales of radio receivers by providing an alternative to the Netherlands state-licensed stations in Hilversum. The ''Daily Express'' is a national daily United Kingdom middle-market newspaper printed in tabloid format. TMF HitRadio
HitRadio Veronica is a Dutch radio station that broadcasts over the internet. On December 27, 2006 at 12:00pm TMF Radio was officially launched. TMF Radio until October 1, 2008 had a partnership between Sky Radio Group (Sienna Holding BV) and MTV Networks Benelux ( TMF) and transmitted mostly hits from the cable frequency of Hitradio BV, which was acquired permanently in the spring of 2007 by Sky Radio Group and MTV Networks BV. MTV Networks has split on October 1, 2008 from TMF Radio and since then Sky Radio Group is the sole owner of the station, which now bears the name HitRadio Veronica. Kink FM
Kink FM was a commercial radio channel in e Netherlands dedicated entirely to alternative music. In 1992 Dutch radio station RTL Radio started broadcasting. After this station failed to be a success, its format and name was first changed to RTL Rockradio, then to Happy RTL and back to RTL Rockradio. In 1995, the name was changed to Kink FM and the ownership split 50-50 between RTL and Veronica. In 1996, RTL gave up on the cable station and sold its remaining rights to Veronica which is still the owner. From the start Kink FM had to fight for its existence. Kink FM was available in the Netherlands by cable, in Europe by satellite and in the rest of the world through the internet. Classicnl (formerly known as Classic FM) is a classical music radio station in the Netherlands, which at one time broadcast on FM, but is now available nationally on DAB+, cable and internationally on the Internet.
