Bruce Maclachlan "Skip" Horack, Jr. (born May 24, 1976) is an American writer. Life and career He was raised in Covington, Louisiana where he attended St. Paul's School. Horack holds a B.A. in English and a J.D. from Florida State University. He worked as a lawyer for five years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana before committing fully to writing and teaching. He is a former Stegner Fellow and Jones Lecturer at Stanford University, and is currently an associate professor at Florida State University. His story collection ''The Southern Cross'', which won the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference Bakeless Prize, was published in 2009 by Mariner Books. Alvin "Skip" Miller (1946 - September 4, 2009) was an American recording industry executive. He worked for 17 years at Motown Records (1971–1988) and served as the label's last president before the company was sold to MCA. While at Motown, he was credited with developing Rick James, DeBarge and the Commodores. After the sale of Motown, Miller worked for a decade at RCA Records, where he was credited with rejuvenating the label's black music division and helping to develop the rap genre. G. W. "Skip" Mercier (July 20, 1954 – March 11, 2021) was an American costume, puppet, and set designer. He has designed for over 370 productions of theater, musical theater, opera, dance, film, and television. He is best known for his set and costume designs for ''Juan Darien: A Carnival Mass'' in which he received a Tony Award Nomination for Scenery and two Drama Desk Nominations for Scenic Design and Costume Design in 1997. Lloyd Vernon "Skip" Martin (May 14, 1916, in Robinson, Illinois – February 12, 1976, in Los Angeles, California) was an American jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and music arranger. Background Martin was active principally as an arranger for some of the most popular swing jazz bands of the 1930s and 1940s. He worked with Count Basie, Charlie Barnet (1939–40), Benny Goodman (1941), and Glenn Miller (1941–42); doubling as a reedist with the last three. Skip Marley Minto (born 4 June 1996) is a Jamaican singer. He is the son of Cedella Marley and David Minto, and grandson of Bob Marley. He has received two Grammy Award nominations and an MTV Video Music Award nomination.
