Skip Mercier
G. W. "Skip" Mercier (July 20, 1954 – March 11, 2021) was an American costume, puppet, and set designer. He has designed for over 370 productions of theater, musical theater, opera, dance, film, and television. He is best known for his set and costume designs for ''Juan Darien: A Carnival Mass'' in which he received a Tony Award Nomination for Scenery and two Drama Desk Nominations for Scenic Design and Costume Design in 1997. He was a member of the faculty at the University of Washington School of Drama, where he taught scenic design and costume design to both graduate students and undergraduates. Life Mercier was born in Methuen, Massachusetts on July 20, 1954, and was raised in nearby Haverhill. William Saroyan
William Saroyan (; August 31, 1908 – May 18, 1981) was an Armenian-American novelist, playwright, and short story writer. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1940, and in 1943 won the Academy Award for Best Story for the film ''The Human Comedy''. When the studio rejected his original 240-page treatment, he turned it into a novel, '' The Human Comedy.'' Saroyan is regarded as one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. David Shiner (clown)
David Shiner (born September 13, 1953) is an American actor, clown, playwright and theater director. Background and career Shiner was born in Boston, Massachusetts. His father, Francis Shiner, was a computer programmer. Shiner, usually donning a small dunce cap, started as a street mime, first in Colorado, and later in France and Germany. He managed to get multiple gigs with various circuses, including performances with the German Circus Roncalli and the Swiss National Circus (Circus Knie). In between he toured performing a dual act with René Bazinet. From 1990 he was featured in Cirque du Soleil's production ''Nouvelle Expérience'', touring for 19 months through Canada and the USA and playing for another year in Las Vegas. Vivian Beaumont
Vivian Beaumont Allen (March 22, 1885 – October 10, 1962), also known simply as Vivian Beaumont, was an American actress, philanthropist, and heiress. A patron of Broadway theater in New York City, she funded construction of the namesake Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center, which was completed after her death. She was founder of the Vivian Beaumont Society, a charitable organization. Allen died in 1962 at 77 years of age and was interred at the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
