Sixth Federal Electoral District Of Sonora
The sixth federal electoral district of Sonora ''(Distrito electoral federal 06 de Sonora)'' is one of the Federal Electoral Districts of Mexico, 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), Chamber of Deputies and one of seven such districts in the States of Mexico, state of Sonora. It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress of Mexico, Congress for each three-year legislative period by means of the Plurality voting system, first-past-the-post system. Votes cast in this district also count towards the calculation of proportional representation ("plurinominal") deputies elected from the Electoral regions of Mexico, first region. The 6th district was created in 1978 and was first contested in the 1979 Mexican legislative election, 1979 legislative election.
