Sisaket Football Club ( th, สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ) is a former Thai professional football club History The early years The club was founded as Sisaket F.C. in 2009 and won the Thai Provincial League. The team was founded by the Sports Authority of Thailand in collaboration with the Football Association of Thailand. In 2008 they were promoted from the Regional League Division 2 to take them back to the Thai First Division. Promotion to the Thai Premier League Sisaket were promoted to the Premier league in 2010 after finishing third in the 2009 Thai Division 1 League. Name change and relocation In 2012 the club relocated to Ubon Ratchathani Province after the local Sisaket government decided to back the newly formed Sisaket United F.C. Kouprey
The kouprey (''Bos sauveli''), also known as forest ox is a forest-dwelling, wild bovine species native to Southeast Asia. A young male was sent to the Paris Zoological Park in 1937 and was described by the French zoologist Achille Urbain who declared it the holotype. The kouprey has a tall, narrow body, long legs, a humped back and long horns. The kouprey has not been sighted since 1969–1970. A camera trapping survey in the region of these sightings failed to document it in 2011. It has been listed as Critically Endangered, and possibly extinct, on the IUCN Red List since 1996. Thai League Cup
The League Cup ( th, ไทยลีกคัพ) is a football cup competition in Thailand. It is also known as Toyota League Cup for sponsorship reasons. It was re-formed during the 2010 domestic football league season in Thailand and runs along the same lines as the Thai FA Cup except that the earlier rounds would be regional rather than an open draw. Final Format Thai League Cup is open to all members of the Football Association of Thailand and Thai League 1 and is divided into eight rounds; the remaining Thai League teams enter at the first round. Matches in all rounds are single-legged, except for the semi-finals, which have been two-legged since the competition began. In single-legged top division teams will plays as away team. 2012 Thai Premier League (known as Sponsor Thai Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 16th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996. A total of 18 teams are competing in the league. Teams Khonkaen, Siam Navy and Sriracha were relegated to the 2012 Thai Division 1 League after finishing the 2011 season in the bottom three places. 2011 Thai Division 1 League champions Buriram, runners-up Chainat and third place BBCU were promoted to the Thai Premier League. 2011 Thai Premier League (known as Sponsor Thai Premier League for sponsorship reasons) was the 15th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996. The 2010 Thai Premier League was the 14th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996. A total of 16 teams competed in the league, with Muangthong United as the defending champions. League Expansion It was announced at the end of the season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, at the end of season the three teams in the Thai Premier League that finished the season in the bottom three places (14th, 15th and 16th) would face the fourth, fifth and sixth teams from Division One in a promotion/relegation series. Thai League 2 ( th, ไทยลีก 2), commonly known as the T2, formally called Thai Division 1 League, is the second-tier professional league in the Thai football league system. The top 3 are promoted to Thai League 1 at the end of the season, whilst four are relegated to Thai League 3. For the 2008 season, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) reduced the number of teams in the league to 16 teams. Previously there had been two groups of 12 clubs. For the 2011 season the number of teams was increased to 18 teams, The Thai Division 1 League is a season run from March to October, with teams playing 34 games each totalling 306 games in the season. In 2016, the Khǒr Royal Cup became a trophy for Thai Division 1 League. In 2017 the Football Association of Thailand changed the name to Thai League 2.
