Sirindhorna
''Sirindhorna'' is a genus of hadrosauroid ornithopod dinosaur from Early Cretaceous deposits of northeastern Thailand. Discovery and naming In 2007, the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum (FPDM) approached the Northeastern Research Institute of Petrified Woods and Mineral Resources, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU) and associated Khorat Fossil Museum on the possibility of a collaboration. The motivation for such an effort was because of the similar age of rocks in Suranaree Subdistrict, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand and Katsuayama, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Similar dinosaurs are known from the formations of both locales, and so the researchers wanted to collaborate in research to be able to more deeply compare the prehistory of both countries. Khok Kruat Formation
The Khok Kruat Formation () is a rock formation found in northeastern Thailand. It is the uppermost formation of the Khorat Group. It is dated to the Aptian stage of the Early Cretaceous period, and is notable for its fossils of dinosaurs. It is equivalent to the Gres superieurs Formation of Laos.Weishampel, David B; et al. Hadrosauroidea
Hadrosauroidea is a clade or superfamily of ornithischian dinosaurs that includes the "duck-billed" dinosaurs, or hadrosaurids, and all dinosaurs more closely related to them than to ''Iguanodon''. Their remains have been recovered in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. Many primitive hadrosauroids, such as the Asian ''Probactrosaurus'' and ''Altirhinus'', have traditionally been included in a paraphyly, paraphyletic (unnatural grouping) "Iguanodontidae". Ratchasimasaurus
''Ratchasimasaurus'' (meaning "Nakhon Ratchasima lizard") is a genus of iguanodontian ornithopod dinosaur from Early Cretaceous (Aptian stage) Khok Kruat Formation of Nakhon Ratchasima Province in northeastern Thailand. The type and only species is ''R. suranareae'', named after Thao Suranari, a 19th-century war heroine. ''Siamodon'' is an extinct genus of iguanodontian ornithopod dinosaur from Early Cretaceous deposits of northeastern Thailand. Discovery ''Siamodon'' is known from the holotype PRC-4, a well-preserved left maxilla and from the referred materials PRC-5, an isolated maxillary tooth and PRC-6, a braincase. It was collected in the Ban Saphan Hin site, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, from the Khok Kruat Formation, dating to the Aptian stage of the late Early Cretaceous, about 125-113 million years ago. Iguanodont
Iguanodontia (the iguanodonts) is a clade of herbivorous dinosaurs that lived from the Middle Jurassic to Late Cretaceous. Some members include ''Camptosaurus'', ''Dryosaurus'', ''Iguanodon'', ''Tenontosaurus'', and the hadrosaurids or "duck-billed dinosaurs".
