''Sindhooram'' () is a 1997 Indian Telugu-language crime film written and directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film stars Brahmaji and Sanghavi, with Ravi Teja and Soundarya in supporting roles. The film dealt with the intricacies of Naxalism in Andhra Pradesh. The film and the soundtrack has received positive reviews upon release, and gathered cult following. The film has garnered the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and was screened at the International Film Festival of India. The film also won five Nandi Awards. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry
Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (born Chembolu Seetharama Sastry; 20 May 1955 – 30 November 2021) was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for K. Viswanath's directorial film of the same name in 1986. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions towards the field of arts and aesthetics. Krishna Vamsi
Pasupuleti Venkata Bangarraju, know professionally as Krishna Vamsi, is an Indian film director, producer and choreographer known for his work in Telugu cinema. Vamsi started his career as an assistant director to Ram Gopal Varma. He made his directorial debut with the 1995 crime film '' Gulabi'', starring J. D. Chakravarthi. He has received two National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and four Nandi Awards. In 1996, he directed the film '' Ninne Pelladata'', one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the time.
