Krishna Vamsi
Pasupuleti Venkata Bangarraju, know professionally as Krishna Vamsi, is an Indian film director, producer and choreographer known for his work in Telugu cinema. Vamsi started his career as an assistant director to Ram Gopal Varma. He made his directorial debut with the 1995 crime film '' Gulabi'', starring J. D. Chakravarthi. He has received two National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and four Nandi Awards. In 1996, he directed the film '' Ninne Pelladata'', one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the time. He subsequently directed the critically acclaimed crime film, ''Sindhooram'' under his production house ''Andhra Talkies''; both the films won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. In 2002, he ventured into Bollywood with '' Shakti: The Power'', a remake of his own 1998 Telugu cult classic '' Antahpuram''. HMTV is an Indian 24-hour Telugu news channel launched on 12 February 2009. The channel is operated by Hyderabad Media Pvt. Ltd, which also runs the English newspaper ''The Hans India''. HMTV is a part of Kapil Group, promoted by K. Vaman Rao. Kapil Group is a business conglomerate of over 30 companies whose first company, Kapil Chit Funds was started in 1981. The current CEO of the channel is Mrs. Lakshmi Rao. History HMTV launched on 12 February 2009 as a 24-hour Telugu news channel. It is operated by Hyderabad Media House Ltd. K. Ramachandra Murthy, a veteran journalist was the first CEO and chief editor of the channel. The slogan of the channel is "Vaartha Aagadu, Nijam Daagadu". ''Anthahpuram'' () is a 1998 Indian Telugu-language action drama film, written and directed by Krishna Vamsi, and produced by P. Kiran under the Anandi Art Creations banner. The film stars Jagapathi Babu, Soundarya, Prakash Raj, Sai Kumar and Saradha, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. ''Chakram'' is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by Krishna Vamsi. It stars Prabhas in lead role as the titular character, while Asin and Charmy Kaur play the female leads. The music was composed by Chakri. The film was released on 25 March 2005 to mixed reviews.
