Simone Cerasuolo
Simone Cerasuolo (born 22 June 2003) is an Italian competitive swimmer. He is the world junior record holder in the short course 50 metre and 100 metre breaststroke events. In the 50 metre breaststroke, he won a gold medal at the 2021 European Junior Championships, the silver medal at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships (long course), the bronze medal at the 2022 World Short Course Championships, and placed fifth at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships (long course). In the 100 metre breaststroke, he won the bronze medal at the 2021 European Junior Championships and placed sixth in the final at the 2022 World Short Course Championships. Early life Cerasuolo was born 22 June 2003 in Italy. He has swum for GS Fiamme Oro and Imolanuoto in national and regional competitions, and is coached by Cesare Casella. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, four swimmers can take part in either a freestyle or medley relay. A medley relay consists of four swimmers who will each swim a different stroke, ordered as backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. 2022 World Aquatics Championships
The 2022 World Aquatics Championships, the 19th edition of the FINA World Aquatics Championships, were held in Budapest, Hungary, from 17 June to 3 July 2022. In March 2022, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, FINA banned both the Russian and Belarusian nationals from entering the championships. Host selection Originally, Budapest was selected to host the 2021 World Aquatics Championships. However, after Guadalajara, Mexico, pulled out from the organization of the 2017 Championships, the city took the responsibility for hosting the event, since the infrastructure was already fully ready. Consequently, the application process for the 2021 edition was reopened and the event was relocated to Fukuoka, Japan, and was scheduled to be held between 16 July to August 1, 2021. Riccione (; rgn, Arciôn ) is a ''comune'' in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. As of 2018, Riccione had an estimated population of 35,003. Nicolò Martinenghi (; born 1 August 1999) is an Italian swimmer. He is a two-time world record holder in the 4×50 metre medley relay, swimming breaststroke on both relays. He is the Italian record holder in the 50 metre breaststroke and 100 metre breaststroke (both long course and short course).
