Simon Power (footballer)
Simon Power (born 13 May 1998) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Shamrock Rovers. He represented Ireland at youth level. Club career Early career Born in Greystones, Power started his career as a youth player for Greystones United and later played youth football for St Josephs Boys, Cabinteely before making his senior debut for Cabinteely in August 2015 as a substitute against Finn Harps. He later signed for UCD, where he made 13 league appearances and scored one goal. Norwich City In January 2018, Power joined Norwich City on an 18-month contract following a trial period with the club. Power agreed a two-year extension to his deal in January 2019, six months before it was due to expire, and also joined Eerste Divisie side Dordrecht on loan until the end of the season. Greystones
Greystones () is a coastal town and seaside resort in County Wicklow, Ireland. It lies on Ireland's east coast, south of Bray, County Wicklow, Bray and south of Dublin city centre and has a population of 18,140 (2016). The town is bordered by the Irish Sea to the east, Bray Head to the north and the Wicklow Mountains to the west. It is the second biggest town in County Wicklow (after Bray, County Wicklow, Bray). The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason.
