Simo Salminen
Simo Veli Atte Salminen (8 November 1932 – 2 September 2015) was a Finnish comic-actor best known for his many performances in movies and television shows by Spede Pasanen, usually playing his sidekick in some fashion. Salminen alongside Vesa-Matti Loiri and Pasanen himself were the three important players in almost all of Pasanen's productions. He frequently played a supporting or at the very least a relevant secondary character in many of Pasanen's films, usually the bungling assistant to the main character (often portrayed by Pasanen). His characters were frequently also called "Simo" (such as in ''Pähkähullu Suomi'', '' Koeputkiaikuinen ja Simon enkelit''). Salminen is best remembered for the role of the luckless mechanic Sörselssön, working at an auto-repair shop with the foul-mouthed Härski Hartikainen (Pasanen) in the ''Uuno Turhapuro'' film series. Vanaja (Finland)
Vanaja is a former municipality of Finland. It was located in Tavastia Proper about north of Helsinki. It is also speculated that it might have been the name for an Iron Age and early Middle Ages settlement found opposite to the Häme Castle. Iron Age Finnish settlement Vanaja is a name commonly used about the excavation site of an Iron Age settlement in central Tavastia, Finland, opposite to the later Häme Castle in Varikonniemi. According to some interpretations it was a proto-urban settlement, but this is contested. The settlement existed roughly during the 6th to 13th centuries. It is possibly the "town of Vanai" mentioned once in a Novgorod chronicle that describes how it was destroyed by Novgorodian forces in 1311 CE. It has been suggested that the site was abandoned after the attack. MTV3
MTV3 ( fi, MTV Kolme, sv, MTV Tre) is a Finnish commercial television station. It had the biggest audience share of all Finnish TV channels until Yle TV1 (from Yle) took the lead. The letters MTV stand for Mainos-TV (literally "Advertisement-TV", i.e. "Commercial TV), due to the channel carrying advertising for revenue. ''Millipilleri'' is a 1966 comedy film directed and written by Spede Pasanen, Ere Kokkonen and Jukka Virtanen. The film was Spede's second starring feature after X-Paroni, Pasanen having established himself as a popular comedian in both radio and television. The film was one of Spede's biggest hits and launched his film career further. It also features several actors who would star in Spede's consequent films Pähkähullu Suomi and Noin 7 Veljestä. Jukka Virtanen (director)
Jukka Jalmari Virtanen (25 July 1933 – 1 September 2019) was a Finnish entertainer and author. He worked as both a film and television director, actor and host. He was also an accomplished songwriter. Starting originally as a newspaper columnist, Virtanen began his television career in the 1950s and his film career in the 1960s. He won the Rose d'Or in 1965 for the entertainment program Lumilinna (The Cold Old Days). He starred in and directed many films written by Spede Pasanen, including '' Millipilleri'', '' Pähkähullu Suomi'' and '' Noin 7 Veljestä'', as well as playing bit parts in the Uuno Turhapuro franchise.
