Silvana Bauer
Silvana Bauer (born 14 April 1986) is a Dutch former professional tennis player. Bauer, a native of Zeeland, played in all junior grand slam tournaments and had a best ITF junior world ranking of 11. In 2002, she made a WTA Tour main draw appearance at the Ordina Open and toured with the Netherlands Fed Cup team for an away tie in Australia, as a reserve. At the age of 17, she decided to give the game away to the surprise of many in Dutch tennis. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The player who is unable to return the ball validly will not gain a point, while the opposite player will. Tennis is an Olympic sport and is played at all levels of society and at all ages. Omroep Zeeland is a public broadcaster located in Zeeland, Netherlands. Founded in 1988, the media organization is active in television, radio, and internet. The Netherlands Billie Jean King Cup team represents the Netherlands in the Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Lawn Tennis Bond.
