Central Sikh Temple is the first Sikh gurdwara in Singapore. Pritam Singh (Singaporean Politician)
Pritam Singh (born 2 August 1976) is a Singaporean politician, lawyer and author who has been serving as Leader of the Opposition since 2020 and Secretary-General of the Workers' Party since 2018. Singh has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Eunos division of Aljunied GRC since 2011. Singh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. In 1999, he won the Straits Steamship Prize for being the top undergraduate student in history and political science. Davinder Singh Sachdev s/o Amar Singh (born 1 August 1957) is a Singaporean lawyer and former politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he was the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Toa Payoh East ward of Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC from 1997 to 2006 and the Toa Payoh ward of Toa Payoh GRC from 1988 to 1991. Singh was widely considered Singapore's top litigator, he is best known for representing Singaporean prime ministers Lee Kuan Yew and Lee Hsien Loong in civil lawsuits, and for acting for Singapore Press Holdings in the National Kidney Foundation scandal. The Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency is a five-member Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in the north eastern region of Singapore.
