Davinder Singh (lawyer)
Davinder Singh Sachdev s/o Amar Singh (born 1 August 1957) is a Singaporean lawyer and former politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he was the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Toa Payoh East ward of Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC from 1997 to 2006 and the Toa Payoh ward of Toa Payoh GRC from 1988 to 1991. Singh was widely considered Singapore's top litigator, he is best known for representing Singaporean prime ministers Lee Kuan Yew and Lee Hsien Loong in civil lawsuits, and for acting for Singapore Press Holdings in the National Kidney Foundation scandal. He worked at the law firm Drew & Napier for 37 years, spending 17 years as Chief Executive Officer, and the last two as Executive Chairman. Senior Counsel
The title of Senior Counsel or State Counsel (post-nominal letters: SC) is given to a senior lawyer in some countries that were formerly part of the British Empire. "Senior Counsel" is used in current or former Commonwealth countries or jurisdictions that have chosen to change the title "King's Counsel" to a name without monarchical connotations, usually related to the British monarch that is no longer head of state, such that reference to the King is no longer appropriate. Examples of jurisdictions which have made the change because of the latter reason include Mauritius, Zambia, India, Hong Kong, Ireland, South Africa, Kenya, Malawi, Singapore, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. Balochistan (; bal, بلۏچستان; ) is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. Steven Chong
Steven Chong Horng Siong (born 22 September 1957) is a Singaporean judge who has been serving as a judge of the Court of Appeal of Singapore since 2017. He had previously served as the seventh attorney-general of Singapore between 2012 and 2014, and a judge of the High Court of Singapore between 2010 and 2012, and again between 2014 and 2017. Early life Chong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1982. In that same year, Chong, together with Davinder Singh, V. K. Rajah and Jimmy Yim, won the Philip C. Jessup Cup. Chong was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court in 1983. National Junior College (NJC) is a government junior college located in Bukit Timah, Singapore. Established in 1969, it was the first government junior college in Singapore. The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (or Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level) is a GCE Ordinary Level examination held annually in Singapore and is jointly conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES).
