Signals Midwest
Signals Midwest is an American punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. History Signals Midwest formed in 2008. In 2009, the band self-released their first full-length album titled ''Burn the Blueprints''. In 2011, the band released their second full-length album titled ''Latitudes and Longitudes'' after signing with the record label Tiny Engines. Also in 2011, the band released a split with Shady Ave. In 2013, the band released their third studio album and second with Tiny Engines titled ''Light on the Lake''. In 2016, Signals Midwest released their fourth full-length album and third with Tiny Engines titled ''At This Age''. On June 19, 2019 Signals Midwest premiered the track, “Your New Old Apartment,” off their forthcoming record ''Pin'', which was released on August 2 via Lauren Records. Lauren Records is an American independent record label founded in Southern California in 2011. The label mostly specializes in indie rock, emo, and other melodic punk rock adjacent genres. History After a few years booking shows and tours for local bands, Lauren Records was formed. The first release was a compilation LP called ''I Think We Should Stay Away From Each Other'' featuring groups like AJJ, Japanther and Joyce Manor. Initially supposed to be a home duplicated cassette with just local friends’ bands, as more bands expressed interest in putting a song on, it went from almost being a CD to just being an LP. Tiny Engines
Tiny Engines is an American record label based in the Carolinas. Controversy In November 2019, Stevie Knipe of Adult Mom accused Tiny Engines of a breach of contract due to the delayed payment of $8,000 in royalties. Knipe claimed that Tiny Engines sent no royalty payments between 2015 and May 2018 to the band. Other artists such as Mannequin Pussy and Christian Holden claimed to have experienced similar circumstances. The co-founder of the record label, Chuck Daley, admitted to the delay of payments in an interview with Billboard.
