Sighnaghi Municipality
Sighnaghi ( ka, სიღნაღის მუნიციპალიტეტი) is an administrative-territorial unit in eastern Georgia, Kakheti region. The municipality borders the municipalities of Gurjaani and Sagarejo to the northwest and west, the municipality of Dedoplistskaro to the southeast and the municipality of Lagodekhi and the Republic of Azerbaijan to the north and northeast. The area is 1251.7 km². Agricultural fields occupy 93,375 ha, and forest resources amount to 5,500 ha. Alazani
The Alazani ( ka, ალაზანი, az, Qanıx) is a river that flows through the Caucasus. It is the main tributary of the Kura in eastern Georgia, and flows for . Part of its path forms the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan, before it meets the Kura at the Mingəçevir Reservoir. The river is likely the same as that referred to by classical authors Strabo and Pliny as "Alazonius" or "Alazon", and may also be the Abas River mentioned by Plutarch (Plut. ''Pomp.'' 35) and Dio Cassius (37.3) as the location of the Battle of the Abas (65 BCE). The Alazani originates in the Greater Caucasus, south of the main ridge, in the northwestern part of the Akhmeta District. Tsiv-Gombori Range
The Tsiv-Gombori ( ka, ცივ-გომბორის ქედი) or Gombori (გომბორი) is a mountain range in the Georgian section of Greater Caucasus mountains. It is located in the province of Kakheti, eastern Georgia, and stretches to the distance of 107 km, with the highest mountain being at 1,991 m above sea level. The Gombori range serves as a watershed, separating the Alazani and Iori river valleys, thereby dividing Kakheti into two traditional regions: inner (Shida) and outer (Gare). The slopes of the range are traversed by several smaller river gorges. The Alazani passes through the mountain range affecting the overall climatic conditions in the region. The Iori Plateau ( ka, ივრის ზეგანი, ''ivris zegani''), also known as Gare-Kakheti Plateau (გარე კახეთის ზეგანი, ''gare kakhet'is zegani'') is a plateau between the Kura and Alazani rivers in southeastern Georgia, transected by the Iori River.
