Dedoplistskaro Municipality
Dedoplistskaro or Dedoplistsqaro ( ka, დედოფლისწყაროს მუნიციპალიტეტი, 'Queen's spring') is a municipality of Georgia, in the region of Kakheti. Dedoplistskaro municipality is bordered on the west and north by Signagi Municipality, and to the east and south by Azerbaijan. Dedoplistskaro municipality is the largest administrative unit of Kakheti. The area of the municipality is . A large part of the territory of Dedoplistskaro municipality is occupied by the Iori Plateau, which stretches to the extreme south-eastern part of the Eldri plain. The municipality's administrative center is Dedoplistsqaro. Queen Tamar
Tamar the Great ( ka, თამარ მეფე, tr, lit. "King Tamar") ( 1160 – 18 January 1213) reigned as the Queen of Georgia from 1184 to 1213, presiding over the apex of the Georgian Golden Age. A member of the Bagrationi dynasty, her position as the first woman to rule Georgia in her own right was emphasized by the title ''mepe'' ("king"), afforded to Tamar in the medieval Georgian sources. Tamar was proclaimed heir and co-ruler by her reigning father George III in 1178, but she faced significant opposition from the aristocracy upon her ascension to full ruling powers after George's death. Tamar was successful in neutralizing this opposition and embarked on an energetic foreign policy aided by the decline of the hostile Seljuq Turks. Mirzaani
Mirzaani ( ka, მირზაანი) is a village in Georgia. It is located in Dedoplistsqaro Municipality, 15 kilometers from Dedoplistsqaro. Elevation: 750 meters. According to the 2014 census, 433 people lived in the village, the majority of whom are Georgians. Geography The climate of the village is humid subtropical, with relatively cold winters and long warm summers. The average annual temperature is 10.1 degrees Celsius. The average January temperature is -1.5 degrees; 21.7 degrees in August. The absolute minimum temperature is -26 degrees, absolute maximum is +35 degrees. The amount of precipitation is 650 mm per year. Culture Georgian self-taught artist Niko Pirosmani (1862-1918) was born in Mirzaani. His house-museum works in the village, a monument designed by Vazha Mikaberidze is installed.
