Sierra High School is a high school in Manteca, California, opened in August 1994. It is a Microsoft showcase school. Sports Sierra High School is part of the Valley Oak League, of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section. It has 12 athletic teams - track, cross country, wrestling, soccer, basketball, football, baseball, softball, swimming, golf, water polo, and tennis. They have won 20 Sac-Joaquin Section Championships, 3 in cross country, 8 in track, 4 in women's soccer, 3 in softball, 1 in boys basketball, and 1 in football. During the 2014–15 school year, Sierra became the first school in the history of the Valley Oak League to win league titles in the traditional "Big 3" sports of football, basketball and baseball during the same school year. Manteca, California
Manteca (Spanish for "lard") is a city in San Joaquin County, California. The city had a population of 83,498 as of the 2020 census. History Manteca is a city in the Central Valley of California, located east of San Francisco. It was founded in 1861 by Joshua Cowell. Cowell claimed around and built houses on what is now the corner of Main and Yosemite, where Bank of America now stands. In 1873, the Central Pacific Railroad laid track directly through the area. The residents wanted to refer to their new train station as "Cowell Station", but there was already a Cowell Station near Tracy. Blue

Manteca High School
Manteca High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Manteca, California, United States that was established on May 21, 1920. It is the oldest school within Manteca Unified School District. Although originally built with a tower, it was torn down because the structure failed to meet earthquake regulations. Athletics Manteca High is mainly known for the success in its football program. The Buffaloes are one of the most victorious teams in the area and have won nine section titles since the beginning of the 21st century (2001, 2005, 2006, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022) with 13 appearances. They also had the state's longest winning streak (26) for a few months that stretched from October 21, 2005, to October 19, 2007. The Sac-Joaquin Section (SJS) is the governing body of public and private high school athletics in parts of Northern San Joaquin Valley, California.
