Siegfried Dessauer
Siegfried Dessauer (1874–1956) was a German screenwriter and film director.Prawer p.212 As a Jew he was expelled from the Nazi Reichsfilmkammer, Reich Chamber of Film in 1938. Until February 1945 he lived in Wittenau, then moved to Hermsdorf (Berlin), Hermsdorf. After the Second World War he emigrated to Australia in 1947. The Reichsfilmkammer (RFK; en, Reich Chamber of Film) was a statutory corporation controlled by the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda that regulated the film industry in Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1945. Membership in the association was obligatory for everyone in the German Reich who wanted to work on films in any capacity; lack of membership meant in effect a ban on employment. Hermsdorf () is a district (''Ortsteil'') of Berlin located in the borough (''Bezirk'') of Reinickendorf. History First mentioned in 1200, it was an autonomous municipality merged into Berlin in 1920 with the "Greater Berlin Act".
