Sid Ali Kouiret
Sid Ali Kouiret (3 January 1933 – 5 April 2015) was an Algerian actor. Biography Kouiret was born at Algiers. He was a theater and cinema comedian. He had a difficult childhood. His father was a taxi driver, coming frequently drunk at home and was violent with his mother. On day, the little Sid Ali Kouiret, overwrought, gave a knife stab in the back of his father and was obliged to live on the streets at very young age. At 17, he was a procurer in the port of Algiers and had no connection with art. But he loved sport, especially swimming. And to do that, he had to cross "La Rue de la Marine" street. One day, he met there (at "Le Café de Daniel") Mustapha Kateb who directed in the fifties an amateur theatrical troupe. Since then, he started his adventure on the stages. In 1951, he went to Berlin with "El Mesrah El Djazairi" theatrical troupe. And in 1952, they were in Paris; singing patriotic texts in Algerian coffees. Algiers
Algiers ( ; ar, الجزائر, al-Jazāʾir; ber, Dzayer, script=Latn; french: Alger, ) is the capital and largest city of Algeria. Naceur Ktari (born 1943) is a filmmaker from Tunisia. Early life and education Ktari was born in Sayada in Tunisia on 17 May 1943. Ktari studied film in Paris and later in Rome. He worked as an assistant on Raiders of the Lost Ark when Steven Spielberg was filming in Tunisia in 1981. Career His first film which was partly funded in Libya was called ''The Ambassadors ( Les Ambassadeurs}''. Mohammed Lakhdar-Hamina ( ar, محمد الأخضر حمينة; born in M'Sila, Algeria, M'sila in 1934) is an Algerian film director and screenwriter. He is best known for his 1975 film ''Chronicle of the Years of Fire''. He is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Arab cinema, Arabic cinema. Biography Born in 1934 at M'Sila, Algeria, Lakhdar began his studies in his native country. He first became interested in the world of cinema at the Lycée Carnot in Cannes, France. Youssef Chahine ( ar, يوسف شاهين, Yūsuf Shāhīn ; 25 January 1926 – 27 July 2008) was an Egyptians, Egyptian film director. He was active in the Cinema of Egypt, Egyptian film industry from 1950 until his death. He directed twelve films that were listed in the Top 100 Egyptian films list.
