Sian Eleri
Sian Eleri is a Welsh radio presenter. She is best known for presenting her shows on BBC Radio 1 and Radio Cymru. Early life Sian Eleri is from Caernarfon. She studied journalism at the University of Leeds. Career Prior to joining Radio 1, Eleri presented on BBC Radio Cymru. Eleri covered Phil Taggart's Chillest Show on BBC Radio 1 during Christmas 2019. In November 2020, it was announced that Eleri would take over Phil Taggart's show following his departure from the station. On 20 April 2021, further timetable changes were announced as it was revealed Annie Mac would leave the station. Eleri will continue presenting on Sunday nights but will also present the Powerdown Playlist from 10 to 11pm, Monday to Wednesday, a slot previously occupied by Jack Saunders. Caernarfon
Caernarfon (; ) is a royal town, community and port in Gwynedd, Wales, with a population of 9,852 (with Caeathro). It lies along the A487 road, on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait, opposite the Isle of Anglesey. The city of Bangor is to the north-east, while Snowdonia fringes Caernarfon to the east and south-east. Jack Saunders (presenter)
Jack Saunders (born 24 September 1992) is a British radio DJ and TV presenter who currently hosts the late-night show on BBC Radio 1. Career Radio Saunders studied Broadcast Journalism at Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 2014. He managed the university's student radio station, during which time it won seven student radio awards. Starting in June 2014, Saunders hosted the 10am to 1pm Sunday slot on Kerrang! Radio. He started at Radio X in 2015, hosting the early weekend breakfast show. He went on to cover various shows, including ''The Chris Moyles Show'', and then hosted the mid-morning slot until April 2018. Toby Tarrant took over hosting the slot. In September 2018, Saunders began hosting the 11pm-1am slot on BBC Radio 1. The show focuses on rock, indie, and alternative music. BBC Radio 1 Relax is a British online-only radio stream, owned and operated by the BBC and run as a spin-off from Radio 1. The station plays a selection of relaxation and well-being focussed shows, and broadcasts exclusively on BBC Sounds. History and launch In September 2020, the BBC announced that a new "stream" named BBC Radio 1 Dance would launch on BBC Sounds on 9 October 2020, with a 4-hour simulcast on Radio 1 and Radio 1 Dance. Annie Mac
Annie Mac (born 18 July 1978), is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and writer. She hosted a variety of shows on BBC Radio 1, including BBC Switch and ''Future Sounds''. She also DJed in various locations, including hosting her AMP (Annie Mac Presents) Lost and Found venues in places like Ibiza. Personal life Annie Mac was born in Dublin, Ireland on 18 July 1978. After attending Wesley College in Dublin, she studied English literature at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Annie lives in Queen's Park, London. She has a son (born May 2013) with her husband DJ Toddla T. She gave birth to her second child on 6 January 2017. While she was on maternity leave her radio show was presented by MistaJam and then Mac returned to the station on 12 June 2017. Phil Taggart
Philip Taggart (born 10 June 1986) is a Northern Irish DJ and radio presenter on BBC Radio Ulster. Early life Philly Taggart was born in Derry but was raised in Drumragh, a townland on the outskirts of Omagh in County Tyrone. He attended the Christian Brothers Grammar School, Omagh. He played bass in the band Colenso Parade from age 15 to age 24. The band went on several tours throughout the UK and supported the likes of Richard Hawley, Dirty Pretty Things and The View. Taggart started putting on gigs in his hometown at age 16, frustrated at not being able to get into 18+ gigs. Soon after this, he began to DJ regularly at local nightclubs.
