The Shorty Awards (also known as “The Shortys”) honors the most innovative work globally in digital and social media by brands, agencies, nonprofits and creators. The Shortys’ mission is to celebrate, inspire and push the boundaries of excellence in digital storytelling. The annual ceremony began in 2008 with awards for achievements by independent creators on the Twitter social media platform. Since then, the awards have shifted their focus and now recognize content on all notable social networking sites, including Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, and Pinterest to name a few. Palladium Times Square (formerly PlayStation Theater, Best Buy Theater and Nokia Theatre Times Square) is an indoor live events venue in New York City, located in One Astor Plaza, at the corner of Broadway and 44th Street. It was designed by architect David Rockwell and opened in September 2005.
