Bob Shoop
Bob Shoop (born August 18, 1966) is an American football coach and former player who most recently served as defensive coordinator at the University of South Florida. He also served as an off-field defensive analyst for the University of Miami, with previous service as defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, Tennessee, Penn State, and Vanderbilt. Shoop served as the head football coach at Columbia University from 2003 to 2005. Shoop played for Yale and professionally in the United Kingdom British League in 1988 and 1989. Playing career Shoop is a 1988 graduate of Yale University and both played and coached under Carmen Cozza. In his senior year, he was an honorable mention selection to the 1987 All- Ivy League team. Brian Shoop
Brian Shoop is an American baseball former coach and player. He played college baseball at Malone University from 1977 to 1980. He then served as the head baseball coach of the Birmingham–Southern Panthers (1990–2006) and the UAB Blazers (2007–2020) Playing career Shoop attended Malone University and played baseball for the Pioneers all four years. He was an all-district selection, and the team was Ohio NAIA champion each year. Coaching career After finishing his playing career, Shoop became an assistant coach at his alma mater while completing a master's degree at nearby Kent State University. The Pioneers continued their streak of Ohio NAIA championships both years that Shoop was on the staff. He then became an assistant at Southeastern Conference power Mississippi State for seven years. John Shoop
John Shoop (born August 1, 1969) is an American football coach and former quarterback, who is the current head coach of the Munich Ravens in the European League of Football (ELF). He played college football at Sewanee. He has coached in the National Football League (NFL) and at the collegiate level. Early life Growing up in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, Shoop played quarterback in high school, and continued his football career at Sewanee: The University of the South. Shoop was a member of the Tigers football team from 1987 to 1990, starting from 1988 to 1990. As a senior captain in 1990, Shoop lead the Tigers to a Collegiate Athletic Conference title. Lindsay Shoop
Lindsay Shoop (born September 25, 1981) is an Americans, American rowing (sport), rower. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she won a gold medal in women's eight. She rowed at the University of Virginia (UVA). Shoop was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. In the spring semester of her junior year at UVA, Shoop joined the rowing team, an event that marked the beginning of her career as a rower. After graduating with a degree in Spanish (and a minor in art history), she competed at UVA for three spring seasons. In 2004, she moved to Princeton, New Jersey to train with the national team coaches. After spending the first 8 months at the training center rowing a single, she eventually moved back into sweep boats in the spring of 2005. Pamela Susan Shoop (born June 7, 1948) is an American character actress in films and on television. She often appeared on television series created by Glen A. Larson. She is known for her role in '' Halloween II'' (1981) as Nurse Karen Bailey. Early years Shoop is the daughter of actress Julie Bishop and test pilot Clarence A. Shoop (who was an executive at Hughes Aircraft Company and commander of the California Air National Guard). As a Major General in World War II, he flew the first photographic reconnaissance mission over Omaha Beach on D-Day. She studied acting at University of Southern California and at Villa Mercede in Florence, Italy. Ronald Lee Shoop (September 19, 1931 – March 14, 2003) was an American professional baseball player and catcher, who played part of the season for the Detroit Tigers. Shoop batted and threw right-handed, stood tall and weighed . His professional career extended for ten years (1951–52 and 1955–62). He missed the 1953–54 seasons while performing military service. For his MLB career, Shoop compiled a .143 batting average in seven at-bats, with one run batted in. Rusty Shoop, born in Dallas, Texas, is a retired meteorologist for American TV station KERO-TV. He is married with four adult children and seven grandchildren. As of February 25, 2008, he is also a novelist with the publishing of ''Blood Harvest'' . Career Rusty Shoop joined the United States Air Force, ending up in Northern California after his four-year tour of duty. At Humboldt State University he became the weatherman at KIEM-TV in Eureka, California, where his brother, Larry, was the anchorman. Rusty came to Bakersfield, California in 1984. He became weatherman and worked with anchorman Burleigh Smith on KERO-TV. In addition to television, Rusty has worked as a truck driver, a small business owner, and an insurance company executive.
