''Shonibar Bikel'' () is a 2019 Bangladeshi-German-Russian co-production film directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, a one shot political thriller, inspired from the July 2016 Dhaka attack. The film had its world premiere at the 2019 Moscow International Film Festival. The film has been cleared for release in Bangladesh by Bangladesh Film Censor Board after 4 years. Plot On a nice Saturday afternoon during Ramadan, citizens enjoy sleepy day time. Suddenly, a group of terrorists takes over a cafe in the city holding hostages of employees and customers. The police soon surround the building and demand negotiation and surrenders, the terrorists fortify the cafe with gas cylinders continuing their unfair tribunal. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki (born 2 May 1973) is a Bangladeshi film director, producer and screenwriter. His films ''Third Person Singular Number'', ''Television'', ''No Bed Of Roses'' were critically acclaimed across the world and received numerous international and national awards. He founded filmmakers' movement called ''"Chabial"''. Early life Farooki was born 2 May 1973 in the Nakhalpara neighborhood of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He attended Tejgaon Government Boys' High School. Holey Artisan Bakery is a bakery headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was described in ''The New York Times'' "as among the most beloved restaurants in Dhaka". It is a sister company of Izumi. History The restaurant was originally located on Road 79 Gulshan-2 near the diplomatic quarters of Dhaka. Its clientele consisted of locals and the expat community in Dhaka. The bakery was attacked by terrorists on 1 July 2016. In the attack, 18 foreigners, including 9 Italians and 7 Japanese were killed. The Munich International Film Festival (german: Filmfest München) is the largest summer film festival in Germany and second only in size and importance to the Berlinale.
