Shmaltz Brewing Company is an American craft brewing company headquartered in Troy, New York, US. Originally primarily known for its He'Brew flagship brand, the company produces a large line of Shmaltz Brewing beers and numerous other brands including 518/838 craft beers and the Alphabet City Brewing brand. It also produced Coney Island Craft Lagers until that brand's acquisition by Boston Beer Company in 2013. Shmaltz Brewing now sells across the U.S. East Coast and select other U.S. markets. As of 2021, its year-round line includes Hop Manna IPA, Hop Momma IPA, and numerous ongoing specialty releases. Year-round Alphabet City releases include 7th Street Blonde and Village IPA. The company marked its 25th anniversary in September 2021 with the announcement of the final season for the Shmaltz brand. SingleCut Beersmiths is an American brewery founded in 2012 in Astoria, Queens, New York. The name comes from the luthier term when a guitar is made with only a lower cutaway. WEQX
WEQX is an FM radio station located at 102.7 MHz and broadcasting from Manchester, Vermont, United States with an effective radiated power of 1,250 watts at 759 meters (equivalent to 50,000 watts at 150 meters). Their tower is located on nearby Equinox Mountain. Because of its location and power the station is able to reach Albany-Schenectady-Troy (while distantly), Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls along with southern and central Vermont, western Massachusetts, and western New Hampshire. It broadcasts an alternative rock format which is more varied than most stations owned by larger corporations. Barcade is a chain of arcade bars with locations in the northeastern United States, Los Angeles, and Detroit. First opened in Brooklyn on October 1, 2004, the venues feature a mix of classic video games and pinball and serve American craft beers. Pink Boots Society
The Pink Boots Society (PBS) is a non-profit organization with international membership which supports women and non-binary people working in the fermented beverages and allied industries. PBS started with women beer professionals and expanded that definition as its members and the industry have evolved. The majority of its members are involved with craft beer. The organization helps women fermented beverage professionals advance their careers through educational opportunities. Sub goals include mentorship, networking with other women in the profession, and raising awareness of women in these male-dominated industries. International Women's Collaboration Brew Day is an annual event that takes place each year on International Women's Day (8 March). The event gathers women brewers around the world who brew the same beer. All proceeds are donated to charity.
