Bangladesh Shishu Academy ( bn, বাংলাদেশ শিশু একাডেমি) is the national academy for children in Bangladesh. It was established in 1976 for promoting cultural development of children, and nurturing their talents. National Child Award
The National Child Award is the most notable among the activities of Bangladesh Shishu Academy. This contest has been held since 1978. Competition was held in two groups of 62 topics in literature, culture and sports. In the upazila level, the first place in the district has participated in the national level after crossing the district level and the zonal level. In this competition, about 3 lakh children participate in the opportunity to develop their talents every year. The goal of this competition is to explore the latent talents and talents of children from the grassroots level. Agrani Bank Shishu Academy Children's Literature Award is a prize for writers working on children's literature, which is provided by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. In 1981, Agrani Bank and Children's Literature Award was instituted. It was named 'Agrani Bank-Shishu Sahitya Puraskar' since 2007. Bangla Academy
The Bangla Academy ( bn, বাংলা একাডেমি, ) is an autonomous institution funded by the Bangladesh government to foster the Bengali language, literature and culture, to develop and implement national language policy and to do original research in the Bengali language. Established in 1955, it is located in Burdwan House in Ramna, Dhaka, within the grounds of the University of Dhaka and Suhrawardy Udyan. The Bangla Academy hosts the annual Ekushey Book Fair. Lucky Enam
Lucky Enam (born 14 September 1952) is a Bangladeshi television and theatre personality. She was awarded Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in 2019. She is the current chairperson of Bangladesh Shishu Academy since September 2019. Background Enam was born on 14 September 1952 in Rangpur to Kalimullah Bhuiyan and Mohua. She completed her SSC from SV Girl's School and HSC from Comilla Women's College. She then earned her bachelor's and master's in economics from the University of Chittagong and University of Dhaka respectively. Selina Hossain
Selina Hossain (born 14 June 1947) is a Bangladeshi novelist and the current president of Bangla Academy since February 2022. Her major works include ''Hangor Nodi Grenade'' (1976) and ''Poka Makorer Ghor Boshoti'' (1996). She earned all major national awards – Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1980, Ekushey Padak in 2009 and Independence Day Award in 2018.
