Shiraz International Airport ( fa, فرودگاه بینالمللی شیراز) is an international airport located in Shiraz, Iran. It is the main international airport of Fars province and southern region of Iran. It is also the largest airport in the southern region of Iran. After undergoing renovation and redevelopment work in 2005, it was identified as the second most reliable and modern airport in Iran, after Tehran International Airport, in flight safety, including electronic and navigation control systems of its flight tower. Mehrabad International Airport ( fa, فرودگاه بین المللی مهرآباد, ''Foroudgâh-e Beyn Almelali-ye Mehrâbâd'') , is an international airport serving Tehran, the capital city of Iran. Prior to the construction of the larger Imam Khomeini International Airport in 2007, Mehrabad was Tehran's primary airport in both international and domestic traffic, but now serves only domestic flights.
