Asenovgrad
Asenovgrad ( bg, Асеновград ) is List of cities and towns in Bulgaria, a town in central southern Bulgaria, part of Plovdiv Province. It is the largest town in Bulgaria that is not a province center. Previously known as ''Stanimaka'' (; el, Στενήμαχος), it was renamed in 1934 after the 13th-century tsar Ivan Asen II. Asenovgrad also includes the districts of Gorni Voden and Dolni Voden, which until 1986 were separate villages. According to the census data of 2021, the population of the city is 47 815 people. Todor Ivanov Timonov ( bg, Тодор Тимонов; born 3 September 1986) is a Bulgarian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Todor Timonov was raised in Botev Plovdiv's youth teams. In 2002 Timonov agreed the conditions of his first professional contract with the club which will be effective for five years. He made his official debut in top division of Bulgarian football as a 17-year-old in a match against Lokomotiv Sofia on 29 November 2003. Todor substituted Stoyan Seymenski in second half and played for 5 minutes. The result of the match was a 0:1 loss for Botev. For four years the young midfielder played in 48 matches for Botev (29 in first division and 15 in second division) and scored 4 goals (1 in first division and 3 in second division). Borislav Dimitrov Karamatev (Bulgarian Cyrillic: Борислав Димитров Караматев; born 6 February 1984) is a Bulgarian former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently the assistant manager of Botev Plovdiv II. Career He started his career in his home town Asenovgrad, playing for local team FC Asenovec. At 19 years old, he moved to CSKA Sofia.
