Ship Of Light
''Ship of Light'' is the third album by the Finnish ambient pop band Husky Rescue. It was first released by Catskills Records in January 2010. A special edition of the album was released in April 2011 with a box set designed by Kustaa Saksi including five new bonus tracks and a DVD of live footage and music videos. Three songs were mixed in Sweden with Niklas Flyckt, whose previous work include Britney Spears’ song Toxic. The music video for the single ''They are Coming'' directed by Pete Riski won a Muuvi Award in 2009 by IFPI Finland, and director Antony Bentley received an honorary mention for the music video of ''Fast Lane'' at Oulu Music Video Festival in 2011. Inspiration and recording The title of the album refers to a UFO sighting Marko Nyberg witnessed near his home one night, but also the feeling of transference and escapism. Husky Rescue
Husky Rescue is a Finnish electronic music band from Helsinki, formed in 2002. The group consists of Marko Nyberg, Johanna Kalén, and Antony Bentley. History 2002–2010 Husky Rescue was formed by Marko Nyberg, who began composing under the name in 2002, wanting to create cinematic music influenced by film, photography and painting. He has counted film director David Lynch and French composer Erik Satie among his influences. When recording the band's debut album ''Country Falls'', Nyberg recorded around twenty musicians and singers for use on the album—each of them a good friend of Nyberg's and all Helsinki-based. Pete Riski
Pete Riski (born 9 January 1974) is a Finnish music video director. He has directed music videos for hard rock band Lordi, among others, and directed the 2008 horror film ''Dark Floors''. Riski was born in Rovaniemi and studied from 1992 to 1996 on Tornio College of Arts and Media in Kemi. He is currently a freelance director. Oulu Music Video Festival
Oulu Music Video Festival was founded in 1994 by students of the Oulu School of Arts and Crafts. The festival's back bone is the Finnish Music Video Contest. The best Finnish music video is awarded with The Golden Pumpeli Award and the most promising young director is awarded with the Teen Pumpeli Award. The best Post-Production and cinematography received their own category in 2015 and have been awarded the Lens Pumpeli Award and the Post Pumpeli Award ever since. Lake Bodom
Lake Bodom ( fi, Bodominjärvi; sv, Bodom träsk) is a Finnish lake located in the city of Espoo, not far from Helsinki. The lake measures approximately three kilometres in length and one kilometre in width. It is surrounded by five districts in Espoo: Kunnarla in the west, Röylä in the north, Bodom in the northeast, Högnäs in the southeast, and Karhusuo in the southwest. Pepe Deluxé
Pepe Deluxé is a Finnish electronic music oriented band, formed in 1996 by DJ Slow (Vellu Maurola) JA-Jazz (Tomi Castrén, formerly Paajanen) and James Spectrum (Jari Salo) in Helsinki, Finland. They started to experiment with sounds of hip hop, big beat, breakbeat and downtempo. With the 2007 release Spare Time Machine the band gave up on sampling and concentrated on vintage music styles including psychedelia, baroque pop and surf rock.
