Sherisse Laurence
Sherisse Laurence (later known as Sherisse Stevens) is a Canadian singer and entertainer from Selkirk, Manitoba.Dave Kosonic, "Country pop and rock featured at Skyline". ''Toronto Star'', July 1, 1986. From 1978 to 1983 she hosted the show ''Circus'' on CTV in Canada. She was also the host of the Miss Teen Canada pageants in 1982 and 1983, and performed on Canadian television talk shows including ''The Alan Thicke Show'' and ''City Lights''. In 1986 she represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest. Her song "L'amour de ma vie" (The Love of My Life), performed first on the night, was written by Frank Dostal and Alain Garcia and composed by Rolf Soja. The song finished third with 117 points. Selkirk, Manitoba
Selkirk is a city in the western Canadian province of Manitoba, located on the Red River about northeast of the provincial capital Winnipeg. It has a population of 10,504 as of the 2021 census. The mainstays of the local economy are tourism, a steel mill, and a psychiatric hospital. A vertical lift bridge over the Red River connects Selkirk with the smaller town of East Selkirk. Roger François Jouret (born 24 February 1954), better known as Plastic Bertrand, is a Belgium, Belgian musician, songwriter, producer, editor and television presenter, best known for the 1977 international hit single "Ça plane pour moi". Malcolm James Roberts (31 March 1944 – 7 February 2003) was an English traditional pop music singer, who enjoyed three hit singles from 1967 to 1969 on the UK Singles Chart. He was also an actor and musical theatre star. Actor Born in Blackley, Manchester, England, Roberts began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor. He had a small role in the TV show '' Coronation Street''. His work as Tony in ''West Side Story'' led to a role in the musical ''Maggie May'' at the Adelphi Theatre in 1964. Roberts later appeared in pantomime, starring opposite Ronnie Corbett and Clodagh Rodgers in the 1971 production of ''Cinderella'' at the London Palladium. Chris Roberts (singer)
Chris Roberts (born Christian Franz Klusáček; 13 March 1944 – 2 July 2017) was a German schlager singer and actor. He was born in Munich-Schwabing and was married to the singer and actress Claudia Roberts; they often performed on stage together. Biography Roberts was most popular as a singer in Germany in the 1970s; he charted there with 24 songs between 1968 and 1980. He also acted in a number of films during that time. He represented Luxembourg as a part of a sextet in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in which they sang "Children, Kinder, Enfants". They earned 37 points and attained 13th position. Roberts' first two singles, "Baby's Gone" and "Welchen Weg soll ich gehen", were released under the artist name Chris Robert. Death Chris Roberts died after suffering lung cancer. Ireen Sheer (born 25 February 1949) is a German-English singer. She had a top five hit on the GfK Entertainment Charts, German singles chart with "Goodbye Mama" in 1973. She went on to finish fourth at the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 representing Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest, Luxembourg, sixth at the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest, Germany, and thirteenth at the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 representing Luxembourg again.
