Shelburne Muskies
The Shelburne Muskies are a men's senior hockey team based out of Shelburne, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships In 1982, the Muskies won their eighth COHL title since 1935. Their seventh came in 1972. The Shelburne Muskies have won one championship, in 1997–98 when they were crowned WOAA Sr. "A" champions. Head coach was Barry Trood and assistant coach was Mark Taylor, trainers Sue Snider and Charmaine Archbold. The Muskies faced off against the Arthur Tigers in the first round, defeating them 4 games to 2. In the semifinals the first-place Muskies in the North played another tough series against the second-place Wiarton Redmen with the Muskies once again coming out on top, winning that series in six games including game 6 in Wiarton. Shelburne, Ontario
Shelburne (2016 population 8,126) is a town in Dufferin County, Ontario, Canada, is located at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 89. Shelburne hosts the Annual Canadian Championship Old Time Fiddling Contest that is held each August. History In the early 1860s, the founder of the town Shelburne, William Jelly, found his way through the bushes to choice lots in Melancthon and built several cabins in the area. As Melancthon began developing in the late 1840s, the construction of the Toronto-Sydenham Road (now Highway 10) began and led to settlers moving into the Shelburne area in the 1860s. In 1865, William Jelly established the British Canadian Hotel. A post office was built shortly after, named after the Earl of Shelburne. Rapid economic growth followed and the population increased from 70 villagers in 1869 to 750 villagers in 1877, due to the new railways that were built. Shelburne was incorporated as a town in 1877. Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League
The WOAA Senior AA Hockey League is a Canadian senior ice hockey league governed by the Western Ontario Athletic Association. The league operates in Southwestern Ontario. History Format The league uses Hockey Canada playing rules but is not operated under the jurisdictions of the Ontario Hockey Association or Hockey Canada. The league is based in the Georgian Triangle and Southwestern Ontario. The league has been in existence since 1943, one year after the WOAA itself was established, and has entertained large crowds with local former Junior Hockey players and the odd former professional player. The league is rather large and features teams of both Senior "AA" and Senior "A" calibre. It is generally accepted that none of these teams could financially compete with the Senior "AAA" teams that compete for the Allan Cup. White

Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The eye perceives blue when observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Tavistock Royals
The Tavistock Royals are a senior hockey team based out of Tavistock, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships The Tavistock Royals have won three WOAA "AA" Championships, as they were champions in 1994-95, 2007-08, and in 2022-23. 2006-07 Royals Season Tavistock had another very strong season, finishing with an 18-6-0 record, which placed them in third place in the South Division, and a playoff matchup with the Shelburne Muskies in the "AA" quarter-finals. The Royals would start off quick and win the first two games, however Shelburne came back and won three in a row to put Tavistock on the brink of elimination. Nottawasaga River Rats
The Nottawasaga River Rats were a senior hockey team based out of CFB Borden. They played in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships Nottawasaga has won one WOAA Championship, when they were known as Georgian Bay, when they were Senior "A" champions in 2004. 2006-07 River Rats Season This season would prove to be disastrous for the River Rats, as they finished the regular season with a 0-24-0 record, last place in the 18 team WOAA. Georgian Bay did have a victory in mid-December, a 4-3 win over the Durham Thundercats, however they were stripped of the win due to playing with illegal players. Ripley Wolves
The Ripley Wolves are a senior hockey team based out of Ripley, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships The Ripley Wolves have won the WOAA Sr. "B" Championship twice in their history, during the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. A former team, the Ripley Roosters, were the WOAA Intermediate "D" champions nine times (1977, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988) and were the WOAA Grand Champions twice in 1982 and 1984. Elora Rocks
The Elora Rocks are a senior hockey team based out of Elora, Ontario, Canada. They play in the WOSHL, the Western Ontario Super Hockey League presented by Sleeman Breweries. History In the early 1990s, the Elora Rocks were members of the Northern Senior A Hockey League, winning their final two league titles before jumping to the WOAA in 1993. Elora has captured the WOAA Sr. "AA" championship three times, the first time in 2004-05, followed by 2006-07, and 2009-10. After a couple of building seasons the Rocks climbed their to way to their first AA Senior final vs the Clinton Radars. It was hyped as a battle of the Titans, but the Rocks poured it on and swept the series 4-0. Saugeen Shores Winterhawks
The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks are a senior hockey team in the WOAA Senior Hockey League based in Saugeen Shores, Ontario, Canada. History With the construction of the Saugeen Shores Community Complex in 2000, there was considerable pressure to lure a senior or junior league team to the municipality, which had been without a permanent team since the Lakeshore Winterhawks folded in 1996. Following a short-lived attempt to share the Junior-B Owen Sound Greys in the first half of the decade, the Winterhawks entered the WOAA Senior Hockey League in 2007/08. The team took the name Winterhawks as a tribute to their predecessor, who played from 1989 until 1996, including their final three seasons in the WOAA senior loop. The Mapleton-Minto 81's are a senior hockey team based out of Palmerston, Harriston, and Drayton, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships Palmerston won the WOAA Grand Championship in the 1957-58 season.
