She Said (The Pharcyde Song)
"She Said" is a song by The Pharcyde featured on the group's second album ''Labcabincalifornia''. The song contains two verses by Slimkid3 and Fatlip, Fatlip's verse in particular is highly regarded among fans and critics of the group for its conversational style delivery and easy flowing pace. Both verses address issues of love and relationships. Slimkid3 does his first verse in his trademark incorporation of both singing and rapping. He also sings the ending of the song. A brief portion of the first verse is also sampled for Portishead's song " Only You", on their eponymous second album. Critical reception Bia Michel of ''Spin'' considered "She Said" one of the few songs on ''Labcabincalifornia'' to "distinguish themselves from the mid-tempo muddle" of the album, calling it a "harmony-driven" track that "tips towards the new R&B/rap hybrids flooding the charts". Music videos The original music video for the song finds the group sky diving out of a plane to land on an island ...

Portishead (band)
Portishead () is an English band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band is named after Portishead, Somerset, eight miles west of Bristol, along the coast. The band comprises vocalist Beth Gibbons, producer Geoff Barrow, and musician Adrian Utley; Dave McDonald, an engineer on their first records, is sometimes cited as the fourth member. Portishead's debut album, '' Dummy'' (1994), fused hip hop production with yearning vocals from Gibbons and an atmospheric, cinematic style reminiscent of spy film soundtracks. The album was met with commercial and critical acclaim, quickly becoming a landmark album in the emerging trip hop genre. However, the band disliked being associated with the term, and would consciously step away from that sound on later releases. Two other studio albums have been issued: '' Portishead'' in 1997 and ''Third'' in 2008, both of which received similar acclaim. In 1998, the band released a concert album, ''Roseland NYC Live''. The album cover is a still image from the music video of the song " All Mine". Labcabincalifornia
''Labcabincalifornia'' is the second album by The Pharcyde, released in 1995, three years after their debut ''Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde''. Its usual name in English is ''jay'' (pronounced ), with a now-uncommon variant ''jy'' ."J", ''Oxford English Dictionary,'' 2nd edition (1989) When used in the International Phonetic Alphabet for the ''y'' sound, it may be called ''yod'' or ''jod'' (pronounced or ). History The letter ''J'' used to be used as the swash letter ''I'', used for the letter I at the end of Roman numerals when following another I, as in XXIIJ or xxiij instead of XXIII or xxiii for the Roman numeral twenty-three. A distinctive usage emerged in Middle High German. Gian Giorgio Trissino (1478–1550) was the first to explicitly distinguish I and J as representing separate sounds, in his ''Ɛpistola del Trissino de le lettere nuωvamente aggiunte ne la lingua italiana'' ("Trissino's epistle about the letters recently added in the It ...
