Shawn Everett
Shawn Everett (born July 6, 1982) is a Canadian music engineer and producer best known for his work with Alabama Shakes, Kacey Musgraves, The War on Drugs, The Killers, and Julian Casablancas. Everett has won six Grammy Awards. Early life Everett was born and raised in Bragg Creek, Alberta. After graduating high school, Everett was accepted as a Work-Study participant in the Audio program in Music & Sound at The Banff Centre. Everett relocated to Los Angeles in 2005 and began engineering for producer Tony Berg, former A&R Executive for Geffen Records and Virgin Music. Career Julian Casablancas+The Voidz Shawn served as the producer on ''Tyranny'', the 2014 debut release from Julian Casablancas+The Voidz. The Voidz (formerly Julian Casablancas + The Voidz) are an American rock band. They consist of Julian Casablancas (vocals), Jeramy "Beardo" Gritter (guitar), Amir Yaghmai (guitar), Jacob "Jake" Bercovici (bass, synthesizers), Alex Carapetis (drums), and Jeff Kite (keyboards). Brittany Amber Howard (born October 2, 1988) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter known for being the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and main songwriter of rock bands Alabama Shakes, Thunderbitch, and Bermuda Triangle. ''Hyperspace'' is the fourteenth studio album by American musician Beck. It was released through Capitol Records on November 22, 2019. It followed Beck's divorce from his wife Marissa Ribisi in February 2019. The album is a collaborative project with high-profile producer Pharrell Williams, who is credited for production and features on several songs. Recording for the album started in late 2018. Music journalists describe the album as synth-pop and vaporwave aesthetic-inspired, though Beck draws from several genres. Devon Gilfillian is an American soul singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Early life Gilfillian is originally from Morton, Pennsylvania. He began playing guitar at age 14, and while still in high school played in a band called Black Sheep. He attended West Chester University, where he graduated with a degree in psychology, and also played in cover bands. Growing up, his father, Nelson Gilfillian, was a singer and percussionist in a local band. Career After moving to Nashville in 2013, Gilfillian joined a local blues cover band. Michael Alden Hadreas (born September 25, 1981), better known by his stage name Perfume Genius, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Hadreas's music explores topics including sexuality, his personal struggle with Crohn's disease, domestic abuse, and the dangers faced by gay men in contemporary society. Early years Hadreas is of Greek descent and was born in Des Moines, Iowa, moving to the suburbs of Seattle, Washington at age 6 or 7.
