Shaun Scott (actor)
Shaun Scott (born 1954) is a British television actor. He was educated at Reed's School, Cobham, Surrey, Cobham, Surrey. He appeared in the popular long-running series of ''The Bill'' where he played DI Chris Deakin (he previously played a villain in series 6 episode 92, series 8 episode 83, as well as series 9 episode 13). He also appeared as deputy lock keeper Tom Pike in the 1989 BBC TV comedy ''The River (UK TV series), The River'' with David Essex. He also played Harchester United manager Patrick Doyle in Sky One's football drama ''Dream Team (TV series), Dream Team'' and appeared as a villainous regular in the Scottish Gaelic soap opera ''Machair (TV series), Machair''. Scott also played Jack Fairchild in the comedy series ''Brass (TV series), Brass''. The Theatre Royal Haymarket (also known as Haymarket Theatre or the Little Theatre) is a West End theatre on Haymarket in the City of Westminster which dates back to 1720, making it the third-oldest London playhouse still in use. Samuel Foote acquired the lease in 1747, and in 1766 he gained a royal patent to play legitimate drama (meaning spoken drama, as opposed to opera, concerts or plays with music) in the summer months. The original building was a little further north in the same street. It has been at its current location since 1821, when it was redesigned by John Nash. In total 70 episodes were produced over 13 series. Episodes run for either approximately 50 minutes or 90–100 minutes, the latter of which is the format of all episodes from series 6 onwards. The shorter episodes are based on Christie's short stories featuring Poirot, many published in the 1920s, and are considerably embellished from their original form. Michael O'Dwyer
Michael Francis O'Dwyer (28 April 1864 – 13 March 1940) was an Irish Indian Civil Service (ICS) officer and later the Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, British India, between 1913 and 1919. During O'Dwyer's tenure as Punjab's Lieutenant Governor the Jallianwala Bagh massacre occurred in Amritsar, on 13 April 1919. As a result, his actions are considered among the most significant factors in the rise of the Indian independence movement. O'Dwyer endorsed Reginald Dyer's action at Jallianwala Bagh and made it clear that he considered Dyer's orders to shoot at the crowds was correct. He subsequently administered martial law in Punjab, on 15 April and backdated it to 30 March 1919.
